The LEE Mansion proudly presents a storied past of triumph and fortune during the Wild West pioneering days. It was built by Jeremiah Lee in 1878, who found his fortune in mining in order to free his sweetheart. Central City was a very prosperous mining town and was graced by the presents of many famous outlaws, lawmen, gunmen, and gamblers, including Doc Holiday. Steeped in history, these few blocks have been revitalized to include the more modern casino destination of Black Hawk and Central City while still preserving the historical look and feel. The many original buildings set in one of Colorado's most beautiful mountain destinations is something to behold.
